Pre-Conference Institutes
This year LLC-XVI will be offering two pre-conference institutes of specific curriculum on Friday, April 13th before the conference officially begins!

A Model for Quality Sex Education Programs for Adult Communities headed by Ginger Loverde along with Tom Query.

What do professional sex workers, community leaders, dungeon owners, healthcare workers, mental health professionals, Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSWs), Licensed Professional Counselors, Marital and Family therapists, nurses, and Sexuality Educators have in common? They all face challenges in creating environments that nurture and support positive sexual health for adults.

Come spend a half day learning about the Our Whole Lives (OWL) Adult/Young Adult Sexuality Education Program that is comprehensive and progressive. This easy-to-implement Sexuality Education program is very inclusive and addresses many sensitive topics that other programs usually exclude.

“Application for four CE’s from the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) has been submitted.”

Limited registration:  $50

Writers Workshop with Janet Hardy “Small Publishing and Self-Publishing for Perverts”

Janet W. Hardy is a writer and sex educator, and founder of Greenery Press.  She has also been published as Catherine A. Liszt and Lady Green.  She is the author or co-author of ten books, and frequently collaborates with Dossie Easton.

These days, the accessibility of layout software and online bookstores means that anyone who wants to publish a book can do so.  However, just because you ‘can’ be a self-publisher or small publisher doesn’t mean you ‘should’.

If you’re a writer of how-to, erotica, philosophy, photography/illustration, and you’re feeling the urge to get your work out in book or ebook form, this workshop can save you untold dollars, hours and frustration.  You’ll learn when going with a vanity publisher like Lulu is the right choice and when it isn’t; the basics of how to get your book edited and laid out to look both professional and exciting, the different ways that books can be marketed, distributed and sold; when a print book is the way to go, and when you may as well stick with d-books; whether you want to start publishing other authors’ work as well as your own’ and much more.

Limited registration:  $30
